Chrysocolla
A Silicate Mineral – Mainly Quartz with inclusions of Chrysocolla, Ajoite, Malachite and Shattuckite.
Chrysocolla is a Copper carbonate gemstone, with patterns and colours associated with naturally occurring Copper patina. It is found wherever large Copper deposits occur, often intermingled with other semi-precious, Copper-based gemstone veins such as Malachite, Turquoise or Azurite. Some of the blue/green colouring is from the secondary mineral Ajoite (a minor ore of Copper), while the more brilliant shades of blue are Shattuckite (a rare ore of Copper). Due to the wide variety of minerals contained within Chrysocolla, it can be found in many naturally occurring formations and shapes.
Chrysocolla is associated with aiding in all aspects of gynaecological problems, from general health to childbirth. It is commonly used to provide emotional stability, drawing out inner strength.
