Description
Red Tiger Eye is a striking variety of Tiger Eye known for its rich red, burgundy and reddish-brown colouring with distinctive bands of reflected light. The silky optical effect, known as chatoyancy, creates the characteristic moving “cat's eye” appearance as the stone catches the light.
Red Tiger Eye is generally produced by heat-treating natural Gold Tiger Eye, enhancing the stone's warm red and deep brown tones without the use of synthetic dyes.
In crystal traditions, Red Tiger Eye is associated with motivation, confidence, courage and focus. It is believed to encourage determination, strengthen resolve and promote a greater sense of energy when working towards personal goals.
Red Tiger Eye is commonly associated with the Root and Solar Plexus Chakras and is often used for meditation, grounding, motivation or simply carried as an everyday stone.
